Well what can you say about shop bought bread? Probably the best place for it is in the bin, have you ever read the list of ingredients on a loaf of bread, fourteen or fifteen different things are labelled, when all that is required is five. Yes I agree about the pre packed salads, I have had the misfortune to taste them on the odd occasion, not at home I must add, they are rubbish.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8448820564852330128.post-84565907573305692962013-10-26T01:50:55.932-07:002013-10-26T01:50:55.932-07:00That bird house is brilliant! The crab apples here have disappeared as quickly as they had appeared! Food waste has been in the news a lot this week.. check this http://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/interactive/2013/oct/21/food-wastage-tesco-supermarkets-interactive It's the bread and the dreaded pre packed salads that are wasted the most xlozabethhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05223263361085075839noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8448820564852330128.post-11262246722630386862013-10-23T07:26:57.058-07:002013-10-23T07:26:57.058-07:00Hello Anne,

Food prices have soared here also.one wonders just where it will end. People staving to death!!!!!! I think more and more people will be growing their own. Food waste is an issue, I am glad that I have chickens, they receive any waste I have and return it to me in eggs. Snow flurries tonight and maybe a small snow storm on Friday. Too soon for that. If you deduct the price of the packaging and the cost of getting rid of it and then work out what price you are really paying people would realise that it is far better value to buy from real shops or better still farmers markets. It always amazes us the amount of junk that people load their trollies up with, we couldn't or rather wouldn't trust or eat any of it.Renovation in Galiciahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12134753603087085719noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8448820564852330128.post-57626137547654192232013-10-19T06:05:49.349-07:002013-10-19T06:05:49.349-07:00You need to get the seeds when they are still on t...You need to get the seeds when they are still on the plant, they do need to be green, if your plants are still flowering you should be able to find some seeds still on the plant.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8448820564852330128.post-38999473928516806442013-10-19T02:41:16.276-07:002013-10-19T02:41:16.276-07:00I, like you, find food waste so shocking. The very people complaining about food prices are more than likely the ones leaving the big supermarkets with trolleys full of crap. If people cooked from scratch they would be more nourished and have a greater appreciation for the food.
