I suspect it might be an American name for them. Unfortunately they normally only get used as a garnish with a desert, we love them have not tried them with chocolate but I don't do chocolate anyway so it would be a waste for me.
Shouldn't have to buy any veg again this year, thankfully.Anne Wilsonhttp://anirishalternative.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8448820564852330128.post-11766927399475347922015-09-27T17:34:11.637-07:002015-09-27T17:34:11.637-07:00Yes, I agree Jo, I would hate to have to buy our v...Yes, I agree Jo, I would hate to have to buy our veg. Physalis is very popular in Peru and always sold on the streets there. We sold chocolate with it in but were told to call it "golden berry" in english. I leave the plants to stand over winter then in Feb, I cut them back to about 5 inches, dig them up and move them into another bed. These plants are now on their fourth year.
I wish we had bought a vacuum sealer years ago, still, better late than never.Anne Wilsonhttp://anirishalternative.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8448820564852330128.post-19892139800748380762015-09-25T17:07:45.370-07:002015-09-25T17:07:45.370-07:00Our vacuum sealer came from Lidl, we had waited al...Our vacuum sealer came from Lidl, we had waited all summer for them to come in, they certainly reduce the amount of space that stuff takes up in the freezer besides being completely sealed.
I like to have flowers in the house as well as the garden, but our two youngest cats have taken to trying to rearrange them.Anne Wilsonhttp://anirishalternative.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8448820564852330128.post-82575900842021049062015-09-25T14:45:22.462-07:002015-09-25T14:45:22.462-07:00At the risk of being a copy cat, the arrangement i...At the risk of being a copy cat, the arrangement is lovely (as they all are), your harvest abundant and the vac sealer an absolute must for a preserver of your magnitude.
